The committee was scheduled to consider the Statement of Accounts for the year ended 31 March 2025. This report was prepared by the Deputy Chief Executive. This process was in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, which allows for certain information to be made public. The report pack indicated that the Statement of Accounts for the year 2024-25 had been audited.

The attendees included Councillor Ian Catchpole, Councillor Richard Bell, Councillor Dawn Bellingham, Councillor Christine Blatchford, and Councillor David Freeman, all from Durham County Council, and Councillor Andrew Anderson from Darlington Borough Council. The meeting was summoned by Helen Bradley, Clerk to the Combined Fire Authority for County Durham and Darlington.
