The London Assembly held a plenary meeting on Thursday 2 July 2026, where members discussed various issues including culture in London, bus driver welfare, and the use of Live Facial Recognition technology. The Assembly also considered motions on electoral reform for local government, the protection of the Freedom Pass, and the condemnation of antisemitism. Key decisions included the unanimous agreement to support electoral reform for local authorities and the condemnation of antisemitic acts, alongside a motion supporting the continued use of Live Facial Recognition technology by the Metropolitan Police. The Assembly also unanimously agreed to support the principles of a London Bus Drivers' Bill of Rights.
