The Licensing (Public Protection) Committee of Buckinghamshire Council met on Wednesday 20 May 2026. During the meeting, Councillor Heather Wallace was elected as the new Chair of the committee. Apologies for absence were received from two councillors.
Election of Chairman
Councillor Heather Wallace was elected as the Chairman of the Licensing (Public Protection) Committee for the upcoming year. The proposal was put forward by Councillor Phil Gomm and seconded by Councillor Dean Field. This decision was made during the meeting held at The Oculus, Buckinghamshire Council, Gatehouse Road, Aylesbury HP19 8FF. The meeting commenced at 5:15 pm and concluded at 5:30 pm.
The following members were present: Councillor Heather Wallace, Councillor Kathryn Gibbon, Councillor Phil Gomm, Councillor Paul Griffin, Councillor Matthew Hind, Councillor Mahboob Hussain OBE JP, Councillor Mazamal Hussain, Councillor Gurinder Wadhwa, Councillor Dean Field, Councillor Majid Hussain, and Councillor Michael West. Councillor John Chilver was also in attendance in his capacity as Vice-Chairman.
Apologies for absence were received from Councillor Kirsten Ashman and Councillor Paul Kelly.
