Open Council Network is an independent organisation. We report on Doncaster and are not the council. About us
The Licensing Sub-Committee of Doncaster Council was scheduled to consider several reviews of existing Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver and Vehicle Licences. Additionally, the committee was to review the minutes from previous meetings.
Reviews of Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licences
The majority of the meeting was scheduled to be dedicated to reviewing existing Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver and Vehicle Licences. These reviews are conducted to ensure that licence holders continue to meet the council's standards and are considered fit and proper
persons to hold such licences. The agenda indicates that these reviews would involve information relating to individuals, leading to the exclusion of the public and press from these discussions in accordance with the Local Government Act 19721.
The following licence reviews were scheduled:
- 10:00 am: Review of an Existing Hackney Carriage / Private Hire Drivers Licence and Review of an Existing Hackney Carriage / Private Hire Vehicle Licence.
- 10:30 am: Review of an Existing Private Hire Drivers Licence and Review of an Existing Private Hire Vehicle Licence.
- 11:00 am: Review of an Existing Private Hire Drivers Licence and Review of an Existing Private Hire Vehicle Licence.
- 11:30 am: Review of an Existing Hackney and Private Hire Drivers Licence and Review of an Existing Private Hire Vehicle Licence.
- 12:00 pm: Review of an Existing Private Hire Drivers Licence and Review of an Existing Private Hire Vehicle Licence.
Minutes of Previous Meetings
The committee was also scheduled to consider the minutes from previous meetings held on 6th May, 13th May, and 5th June 2026. These minutes would have documented discussions and decisions from those earlier sessions.
