Open Council Network is an independent organisation. We report on Doncaster and are not the council. About us
The Licensing Sub-Committee of Doncaster Council was scheduled to consider applications for new and renewed private hire and Hackney Carriage driver licences. The meeting was also scheduled to review the minutes of a previous meeting.
Applications for New Driver Licences
The Licensing Sub-Committee was scheduled to consider four applications for new private hire driver licences and one application for a new Hackney Carriage and Private Hire driver licence. These applications were scheduled to be heard in private, as they involved information relating to individuals, as permitted under the Local Government Act 19721.
The report pack indicated that for each application, the Sub-Committee was to determine whether the applicant was a fit and proper
person to hold the relevant licence. This assessment would be made in accordance with the Council's Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licensing Policy2.
