The Bristol City Council held a brief meeting where the main topic was the appointment of a new Chief Executive and Head of Paid Service.
Apologies for Absence
Several councillors were noted as absent, including Councillors Rippington, Dud, Breckles, Kalishone, Raulston, Levan, Genfry, Tate, Galandras, and Hucker. Some corrections were made during the meeting as Councillors Breckles and Levan were present.

Appointment of Chief Executive and Head of Paid Service
Councillor Tony Dyer proposed the appointment of Paul Martin as the Interim Chief Executive. He mentioned that the selection process was robust, involving a cross-party membership and an independent assessment by the Local Government Association (LGA)1. The proposal was seconded by Deputy Leader Councillor Heather Macke. The council voted in favor of the appointment with a clear majority.
The meeting concluded with a note that the next meeting would be held on Tuesday, 9th July.
