The Appeals Committee of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council met on 26 June 2024 to consider three school transport appeals. All three appeals were granted, with the committee acknowledging exceptional circumstances in each case.

The second appeal involved a request for home-to-school transport assistance in the form of a bus pass. The appellant was present at the meeting. The committee examined all the evidence and verbal submissions provided. Similar to the first case, the committee determined that while the policy was correctly applied, exceptional circumstances warranted granting the appeal.

School Transport Appeal - Case 3

The final appeal concerned a request for transport assistance in the form of fare wear and tear. The appellant attended the meeting. After reviewing all the provided information and verbal submissions, the committee concluded that exceptional circumstances justified departing from the home-to-school transport policy and granted the appeal.
