The Task and Finish Group - Fair Space met to discuss and approve a draft survey, decide upon a communications strategy for the survey, and agree on the schools where focus groups should be held. The draft survey was approved with amendments, and further discussions on publicising the survey will take place with the Communications team. Focus groups will be held at Steyning Grammar School, Collyer’s, The Weald, and Horsham Youth Forum.

Draft Survey Approval

The Group, joined by the Digital Communications Manager, reviewed and approved the draft survey with some amendments. The survey will be built using the Council’s survey software, and members will have the opportunity to test it before it goes live.

Communications Strategy for the Survey

The Democratic Services Officer presented possible options for publicising the survey after the Digital Communications Manager had to leave the meeting early. Further discussions will be held with the Communications team to finalise the strategy.

Focus Groups at Schools

The Group agreed to hold focus groups at Steyning Grammar School, Collyer’s, The Weald, and Horsham Youth Forum. The Democratic Services Officer will contact Steyning Grammar School to arrange the focus group. Various options for the format of the focus groups were also discussed.
