Social Value and Golden Valley Development
Councillor Jeffries discussed his focus on social value and the Golden Valley Development, which he described as the most significant development in the Southwest. He emphasized the importance of supporting various areas across the town.
Recycling and Climate Change
Councillor Toby mentioned Cheltenham's leading role in recycling and its ambitious climate change targets, aiming for net zero by 2030. He stressed the council's commitment to climate change and the support from the community and other parties.
Pre-Loved School Uniform Project and Youth Work Fund
Councillor Atherston updated on the successful pre-loved school uniform project, with donations accepted until May 31 at Dunelm in Cheltenham. He also mentioned a £41,000 fund for organizations specializing in detached youth work, with applications open until June 18.
Finance Portfolio

Arle Court Transport Hub and Junction 10
Councillor Collins reported that the Arle Court Transport Hub is on target to open in July and be fully operational by August. However, he noted challenges with the progress on Junction 10 and called for further efforts to address them.
Decisions of Cabinet Members

- Grants awarded to GARAS and Cheltenham Welcomes Refugees for supporting asylum seekers and refugees.
- A three-year grant to Gloucestershire Nightstop for emergency accommodation for homeless young people.
- Disposal of 45 Groven Street from the HRA property portfolio.
- Appointment of a contractor for interior design work at Goldfoot House sheltered scheme.
- Correction of the name Yarnold Terrace.
- Contract with Rand Associates Services for a stock condition survey.

- Appointment of Adapt Architects for retrofit design services under the Social Housing Decarbonization Fund.
