The committee met to discuss the appointment of a new Executive Director - Growth. This new role was created as part of the changes to the senior management team at Barnet Council that were approved by the council on 21 May 2024¹.

The Sub-Committee had previously met on the 18 July to appoint a new Director of Public Health for the borough, choosing Dr Janet Djomba for the role. This time the committee were considering an exempt report, Appointment of the Executive Director Growth². This report contained information about the candidates for the role of Executive Director Growth. After noting the contents of the report, the committee moved into a closed session to discuss the candidates' suitability for the role.

When the meeting resumed, the committee voted to appoint Naisha Polaine to the vacant position.
