I'm a Democratic Services Officer and I'm clerking this meeting. The first item on the agenda is the election of the Chair for the 2024-2025 Municipal Year. In accordance with paragraph 4.11.2 of Procedure Rule 4 of the Council's Constitution, I am the representative of the Managing Director and will conduct the election of the Chair. Therefore, members of the Committee, please can I call for any nominations for the position of Chair. Thank you. I would like to nominate Councillor Harp. Thank you. Councillor Fairhurst has proposed Councillor Ashford. Is there a seconder? Thank you. Councillor Colker has seconded Councillor Ashford. As there are no other nominations, I put the motion to elect Councillor Ashford as the Chair of the Standards Committee to the meeting. Is it agreed? Thank you. Thank you, Councillors. I would like to remind everyone that this meeting is being recorded and webcast live. Anyone present, therefore, accepts that they may be filmed or recorded. If any members of the Committee are attending remotely, they are reminded that whilst they can comment on any item, they are unable to vote or propose or second any motion or nomination. Please also ensure all mobile phones are silenced. All microphones are currently muted, although I can hear one clicking. When called to speak, members should turn on their microphone and address the Committee by speaking clearly. To assist on the smooth running of the meeting, members are asked to remember to turn off their microphones when they've finished speaking. Are we getting the feedback? Can you hear that? Councillor Lodge, would you mind turning off your microphone, please? We can hear it. So Agenda Item 3 is the next item of business is the election of a Vice Chair for 2024 to 2025 municipal year. Therefore, members of the Committee, I call for any nominations of the election of the Vice Chair. Have we got any nominations? Councillor Harp. Thank you, Chairman. I would like to nominate Councillor Essex. Is there a seconder for Councillor Essex? Thank you. Therefore, if there are no other nominations, Councillor Essex will be the Deputy Chair. I put the motion to elect Councillor -- sorry, I'm not reading the bottom bit. I put the motion to elect Councillor Essex as Vice Chair of the Standards Committee. Is this agreed? Thank you, Councillors. Councillor Essex has been elected as a Vice Chair of the Committee for the municipal year. So Item Agenda 1 is apologies for absence. Have there been any apologies for absence received? Yes, thank you, Chair. We have apologies for absence from Councillor Hughes and Councillor Lodge is joining us virtually. Thank you. I confirm that no other apologies have been received from Councillors. That doesn't make sense. The next item of business is the approval of the minutes. Do I have permission of the Committee to sign the minutes of the Committee meeting held in November 2023? Agreed. Thank you, Councillors. Item 5 is next. Are there any declarations of interest?
