Summary
The Passenger Transport Liaison Group’s meeting on 13 November 2024 was scheduled to include updates from Network Rail and Transport for London (TfL) on a range of transport issues in the Borough. The meeting was also scheduled to receive an update on the work to prevent crime on public transport.
Public Safety
Councillors were provided with crime statistics for public transport in the borough, and were invited to note the proposed scheduling approach for future Public Transport Passenger Safety Discussion and Q&A meetings.
Rail Issues
Waterloo Station Redevelopment
Councillors were scheduled to receive an update on the proposed plans to enhance and expand Waterloo Station.
Wandsworth Town Station
Councillors were scheduled to receive updates from Network Rail on the ‘Access for All’ programme and on the new second entrance for Wandsworth Town Station.
Queenstown Road Station
Network Rail were scheduled to provide an update on the construction of a new second entrance at Queenstown Road Station.
Battersea Park Station
Network Rail were scheduled to provide an update on the improvement scheme for Battersea Park Station.
Underground Issues
Step-Free Access
TfL were scheduled to provide an update on step-free access projects in the Borough.
Bus Issues
Springfield Hospital
TfL were scheduled to provide an update on the extension of the bus route 315 into the Springfield Hospital Development.
Longley Road Bus Stand
Councillors were scheduled to receive an update from TfL and the Operator on work to prevent drivers leaving their engines running whilst temporarily parked at the bus stop and in ensuring buses wait within their designated stopping areas by the Longley Road bus stand.

TfL were scheduled to provide updates on the performance of the bus routes 14, 430, and 436 and 39, 93, and 493.
