The Commission was scheduled to note its work programme for 2024-2025.

The work programme included the following items:

  • A formal consultation on the council's Homelessness Strategy, to be led by Councillor Helen Dennis, Cabinet Member for New Homes & Sustainable Development
  • The terms of reference of the Southwark Independent Policing Oversight Board, to be led by Councillor Natasha Ennin, Cabinet Member for Community Safety & Neighbourhoods
  • Southwark's Trust & Confidence Plan
  • The role of Tenants and Residents Associations (TRAs) and Tenant Management Organisations (TMOs) in Southwark's wards.
  • The council’s approach to upcoming market regulations of district heating networks by Ofgem1.
  • The outcome of the council's Electrical Safety Testing Audit.
  • Procurement and contract management in relation to district heating systems, contractors, repairs and major works.
  • Housing Associations and their partnership with the council.
  • Interviews with Cabinet Members with responsibility for Community Safety.
  • An interview with the Borough Police Commander2
  • An interview with the Borough Fire Commander3.
