The Appointments Sub Committee met to consider a report about longlisting options for the post of Director of Housing Options and Homelessness.

Longlisting for the Post of Director of Homelessness and Housing Options

The Committee was scheduled to discuss the longlisting of candidates for the post of Director of Homelessness and Housing Options.

The meeting was asked to consider a report, prepared by Penna, on the candidates applying for the role. The report contains recommendations of which candidates should be asked to interview.

The report also describes the process of advertising the role, which was advertised in December 2024 and closed on the 30th of January 2025. The role was advertised extensively including on the council's website, via Penna Exec Search, in the MJ, and on LinkedIn.

Because the meeting was held in private, the report, and supporting documents, were not made public.

The report, ASC LL Dir Homelessness and Housing Options explained that the new Director role would replace the interim arrangements that had been in place since August 2024.

The Committee was recommended to agree the longlist of candidates, as recommended by Penna. They would then be invited for a first stage technical interview.
