The Oxfordshire Council Remuneration Committee convened on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, to elect the chair and deputy chair for the upcoming 2025/26 council year. Councillor Liz Leffman was elected as Chair, and Councillor Neil Fawcett was elected as Deputy Chair.

Election of Chair

Councillor Liz Leffman was nominated for Chair of the Committee for the 2025/26 Council Year by Councillor Neil Fawcett, Deputy Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member for Resources, and seconded by Councillor Gareth Epps. As there were no other nominations, Councillor Liz Leffman was deemed elected Chair.

Election of Deputy Chair

Councillor Neil Fawcett was nominated for Deputy Chair of the Committee for the 2025/26 Council Year by Councillor Liz Leffman, Leader of the Council, and seconded by Councillor Gareth Epps. With no other nominations put forward, Councillor Neil Fawcett was deemed elected Deputy Chair.
