The Hackbridge, St Helier and The Wrythe Local Committee met on 16 October 2025, at Hill House Community Centre. The meeting included updates from Citizens Advice Sutton, local police officers, and the Sutton Housing Partnership. The committee also planned to discuss public questions submitted via the council website.
Community Showcase
The meeting was scheduled to begin with a community showcase featuring People Arise Now, who were expected to provide an update on their services, as well as a performance by the Guiding Crown dance group.
Citizens Advice Sutton
A representative from Citizens Advice Sutton was scheduled to present information on how their services address the advice needs of residents in the local committee area. Citizens Advice is a network of independent charities offering confidential advice online, over the phone, and in person, for free.
Police Update
Local police officers were expected to provide an update, including information about the role of police ward panels and how residents can get involved. Ward panels allow residents to raise concerns and work with local police to find solutions to neighbourhood issues.
Sutton Housing Partnership Update
The Sutton Housing Partnership was scheduled to provide an update. The Sutton Housing Partnership is an organisation that manages council homes on behalf of Sutton Council.
Public Questions
The agenda included a period for public questions. The council requests that questions are submitted in advance using an online form. According to the agenda:

Minutes
The committee was expected to approve the minutes of the previous meeting held on 17 July 2025. The minutes of the previous meeting, which are available to read online, record that the committee received presentations from the 219 (Sutton & Cheam) Squadron, Royal Air Force Air Cadets, Radio St Helier, and the Friends of Poulter Park & Revesby Woods. The committee also discussed flood investigation findings related to the River Wandle following a flood event on 23 September 2024, and received a local funding update.
