The Overview and Scrutiny Management Committee of Doncaster Council met on 3 November 2025 to discuss several items, including a report on the proposed reopening of South Yorkshire Airport City. The committee was also scheduled to allow public statements.

South Yorkshire Airport City

The committee was scheduled to review a report regarding South Yorkshire Airport City – Approvals required to support the full reopening of the Airport . The cabinet was expected to consider the report on 5 November 2025.

The Overview and Scrutiny Management Committee was asked to review the report and provide comments or feedback for consideration by the executive prior to any decision being taken by the council on 27 November 2025.

The report pack stated that the appendices to the cabinet report would contain information that was not for publication, as it included exempt information under Paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12 (a) of the Local Government Act 1972, relating to the financial or business affairs of particular persons or organisations.

The report pack stated that considering the decision prior to the cabinet meeting would enable a wider group of councillors to feed into the decision-making process, improving transparency and accountability.

Public Statements

The agenda indicated that the meeting would include a period not exceeding 20 minutes for statements from up to five members of the public. These statements were to be on matters within the committee's remit, proposing actions that may be considered or contribute towards the future development of the committee's work programme.
