November 18, 2025 View on council websiteSummary
The Regulation Committee Appeal Panel (Transport) of Kent Council scheduled a meeting for Tuesday, 18 November 2025, to discuss several items, including eight appeals related to transport. Due to the nature of the appeals, a motion to exclude the press and public was proposed, citing the disclosure of information relating to individuals. The meeting was scheduled to take place in the Darent Room, Sessions House, County Hall, Maidstone.
Transport Appeals
The main focus of the meeting was to be on eight transport-related appeals. The agenda for the meeting, as outlined in the Agenda Frontsheet, included the following:
- Appeal 1
- Appeal 2
- Appeal 3
- Appeal 4
- Appeal 5
- Appeal 6
- Appeal 7
- Appeal 8
Additional details for these appeals were provided in the Public Reports Pack.
Exclusion of Press and Public
A motion was scheduled to be put forward to exclude the press and public from the meeting. The reason cited for this motion was that the discussion of the appeals would likely involve the disclosure of exempt information, as defined in the Local Government Act 19721. Specifically, the exempt information pertained to:
Information relating to any individual.
Information which is likely to reveal the identity of an individual
Other Business
The agenda also included standard items at the start of the meeting, such as noting any substitutes for committee members. Councillor Wayne Chapman, Councillor Sarah Hudson, Councillor Mary Lawes, Councillor Geoffrey Samme, Councillor Dodger Sian and Councillor Stephanie Broom were all scheduled to attend the meeting. Andrew Ballard was listed as the person to contact for inquiries related to the meeting. There was also a provision for any other urgent items that the chair, presumably Councillor Andy Ballard, considered necessary to address.
