The Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Leadership Board are scheduled to meet on 21 November 2025. The agenda includes discussion of the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Executive Group strategic update, the Pretty Poverty Report and updated Index of Multiple Deprivation, the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Nature Recovery Strategy, and the Safer Cornwall Plan refresh. There will also be an opportunity for board members to raise urgent matters.
Safer Cornwall Plan Refresh
The board are scheduled to discuss the Safer Cornwall Plan refresh, and will consider a report on the Safer Cornwall Partnership Plan. Safer Cornwall is the community safety partnership for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly1. The Partnership brings together responsible authorities including Cornwall Council, Devon and Cornwall Police2, Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service3, and the Probation Service.
Pretty Poverty Report and Updated Index of Multiple Deprivation
The board are scheduled to discuss the Pretty Poverty Report and updated Index of Multiple Deprivation. The Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD) is a measure of deprivation in England at the Lower Layer Super Output Area (LSOA) level4. The IMD combines information from seven domains to produce an overall relative measure of deprivation.
Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Nature Recovery Strategy
The board are scheduled to discuss the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Nature Recovery Strategy. The Environment Act 2021 requires all local authorities to produce a Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS)5.
Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Executive Group Strategic Update
The Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Leadership Board are scheduled to receive a strategic update from Kate Kennally, Chief Executive of Cornwall Council, on the work of the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Executive Group.

Local Nature Recovery Strategies are a new system of spatial strategies for nature, established by the Environment Act 2021. They will identify the most valuable areas for nature and agree priorities for nature's recovery. ↩
