The Adult Care and Health Policy Development and Scrutiny Committee were scheduled to meet to discuss the Adult Care and Health Portfolio Plan, the Tackling Loneliness Strategy, and the Bromley Safeguarding Adult Board Annual Report, amongst other items. The committee was also scheduled to conduct pre-decision scrutiny of reports regarding budget monitoring and sensory support services.
Budget Monitoring
The committee was scheduled to discuss the budget monitoring position for 2025/26 for the Adult Care and Health Portfolio, based on activity up to the end of July 2025. The report indicated a projected overspend of £9,842,000 by year-end on controllable expenditure, mainly due to cost pressures within assessment and care management.
The committee was to consider a recommendation for the Portfolio Holder to:
- Note the projected overspend.
- Agree to the release of amounts carried forward from 2024/25.
Tackling Loneliness Strategy Action Plan
The committee was scheduled to receive an update on the delivery of the Tackling Loneliness Strategy Action Plan 2022–20261. The Tackling Loneliness Strategy was approved by the Adult Care and Health Policy Development and Scrutiny Committee in November 2021 and launched later that year.
Bromley Safeguarding Adult Board Annual Report
The Bromley Safeguarding Adult Board (BSAB) Annual Report 2024-252 was scheduled to be presented to the committee.
Adult Care and Health Portfolio Plan
The committee was scheduled to discuss the Adult Care and Health Portfolio Plan 2025-26 Half Yearly Update.
Sensory Support Services
The committee was scheduled to discuss proceeding to procurement for sensory support services.
ACH Risk Register
The committee was scheduled to receive the Q2 update to the Adult Care and Health Risk Register.
