The North Northamptonshire Health and Wellbeing Board is scheduled to meet on 9 December 2025, at the Corby Cube in Corby. The agenda includes discussions on the Health and Wellbeing Strategy, the Family Help Strategy, SEND provision, the Better Care Fund, the Family Drug and Alcohol Court, the Northamptonshire Safeguarding Children Partnership Annual Report, and the mental health of care leavers. Councillor Brian Benneyworth, Chair and Portfolio Holder for Health and Leisure, North Northamptonshire Council, will chair the meeting.
Health and Wellbeing Strategy and Mental Health Update
The board is scheduled to discuss the Health and Wellbeing Strategy, accompanied by an update on mental health services. The Health and Wellbeing Strategy HWBB Slides Dec 2025 presentation will provide an overview of the strategy. The Mental Health Report Dec 2025 will likely provide more detail on the current state of mental health services in North Northamptonshire.
Family Help Strategy
The board is scheduled to discuss the draft Family Help Strategy. Judy Matthews is expected to present the Family Help Strategy paper for Health and Wellbeing Board December 2025, which outlines the proposed strategy. A further document, Family Help Strategy V8, is also included in the report pack.
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Update and Joint Commissioning Strategy
The board is scheduled to receive an update on Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and the Joint Commissioning Strategy. Troy Hobbs and David Loyd Hearn are expected to present the NNC HWBB Report SEND JC Strategy, which will likely cover the progress and challenges in providing SEND services in North Northamptonshire. The Joint Commissioning Delivery Plan DRAFT v2 outlines the plans for delivering these services. Joint commissioning1 involves health services working together to plan and deliver services.
Better Care Fund Quarterly Update
Samantha Fitzgerald is scheduled to present the Better Care Fund (BCF) Quarterly Update. The North Northants HWBB BCF Q2 update will likely provide an overview of the fund's performance and impact during the second quarter. The Better Care Fund2 is designed to join up health and social care services.
Family Drug and Alcohol Court Update
Rachael Sanders is scheduled to provide an update on the Family Drug and Alcohol Court (FDAC). The FDAC presentation health and wellbeing November 25 will likely cover the court's activities and outcomes. Family Drug and Alcohol Courts3 are problem-solving courts that aim to address parental substance misuse in care proceedings.
Northamptonshire Safeguarding Children Partnership (NSCP) Annual Report
Rochelle Mathieson is scheduled to present the Northamptonshire Safeguarding Children Partnership (NSCP) Annual Report. The NSCP Annual Report 2024-25 will likely provide an overview of the partnership's activities and achievements in safeguarding children across North Northamptonshire.
Mental Health in Care Leavers
Olivia Iles is scheduled to present a report on the mental health of care leavers. The Report on the Mental Health of Care Leavers will likely outline the challenges faced by care leavers and the support available to them.
