The Bexley Council Planning Committee is scheduled to meet on 18 December 2025 to consider several planning applications, including a retrospective application for a building at the Sidcup Conservative Club, and a proposal to redevelop an existing traveller site in Mckillop Way. The committee will also discuss declarations of interest, items of late business, and the minutes from the previous meeting.

5 Hatherley Road, Sidcup
A report will be provided to the committee regarding application 24/02052/FUL for the erection of a three-storey rear extension to a place of worship at 5 Hatherley Road, Sidcup. The proposed extension aims to provide additional community and worship space. According to the report pack, key issues for consideration include the principle of development, design, neighbour amenity, parking, highways and access, refuse and recycling, ecology and biodiversity, sustainable urban drainage, and sustainability. The Highways Authority reportedly raised no objections to the proposal. Environmental Health reportedly advised that air conditioning may be required to mitigate potential noise breakout.
1 - 8 Mckillop Way, Sidcup, Kent
The committee will be provided with a report regarding application 24/02748/FUL for the redevelopment of an existing traveller site at 1 - 8 Mckillop Way, Sidcup. The redevelopment includes the demolition of six existing amenity buildings and the erection of nine amenity buildings, along with alterations to the layout to facilitate an additional plot. The report pack notes that the key issues for consideration include the principle of the development, the impact of the development on the character and appearance of the area, the impact on the amenities of the neighbouring properties, and highways impacts. The Highway Authority reportedly raised no objection subject to conditions, and Environmental Health reportedly raised no objection subject to general guidance.
Garages Adjacent No's 5 To 10 Lumley Close, Belvedere, Kent
The committee will be provided with a report regarding application 24/02953/FUL for the erection of three dwelling houses with associated parking and refuse storage at garages adjacent to No's 5 to 10 Lumley Close, Belvedere, following the demolition of existing garages. The report pack notes that the key issues to consider include the impact of the development on the character and appearance of the area, the quality of the accommodation for future occupiers, the impact on the occupiers of neighbouring properties and the impact on parking and the highway. The Highway Authority reportedly raised no objections subject to conditions, based on revised plans.
266 Sherwood Park Avenue, Sidcup, Kent
The committee will be provided with a report regarding application 25/01421/FUL for a change of use from a dry cleaners to a micro pub at 266 Sherwood Park Avenue, Sidcup. The proposal also includes the erection of a smoking shelter at the rear. The report pack notes that the key issues to consider include the principle of the development, the impact of the development on the character and appearance of the area, the impact on the amenities of the neighbouring properties, highways impacts and waste management. The Highway Authority reportedly does not object to the proposals. Environmental Health reportedly raised no objection, subject to conditions relating to sound insulation and opening hours.
Sidcup Conservative Club, Oxford Road, Sidcup, Kent
The committee will be provided with a report regarding application 25/01519/FUL, a retrospective application for the erection of a single-storey detached outbuilding and two timber smoking cabins at the Sidcup Conservative Club, Oxford Road, Sidcup. The report pack notes that the key issues to consider include the principle of the development within the Green Belt1, the impact on the openness of the green belt the impact on the character and appearance of the area and neighbouring occupiers' amenity.
Yard Adjacent To 11 Blackhorse Road and part of Trident House, Grassington Road, Sidcup, Kent
The committee will be provided with a report regarding application 25/02049/FUL for the erection of a two-storey end of terrace dwellinghouse at Yard Adjacent To 11 Blackhorse Road and part of Trident House, Grassington Road, Sidcup. The proposal includes associated parking, cycle and refuse storage following demolition of existing garages. The report pack notes that the key issues to consider include the principle of the development, impact on the character and appearance of the area, impact on neighbouring amenity, quality of accommodation, highways impacts, cycle storage, waste management, ecology, biodiversity and landscaping, sustainable urban drainage and water environment, sustainability and fire safety. The Highway Authority reportedly raised no objections subject to conditions.
Land to rear of 88 North Cray Road, Bexley
The committee will be provided with a report regarding application 25/02045/FUL for the erection of a detached two-storey dwelling with associated garage/facilities at the land to the rear of 88 North Cray Road, Bexley. The proposal also includes external alterations to the existing dwelling including changes to rear/side fenestrations and removal of attached garage to reinstate existing access track. The report pack notes that the key issues to consider include the principle of development – housing provision, principle of development – green belt, design, neighbour amenity, trees, refuse and recycling, sustainable transport (cycling), highways safety, access and parking, ecology and biodiversity, sustainable drainage, sustainability and response to representations. The Highway Authority reportedly raised no further objections following revisions to the plans.
