Homelessness System Partnership
The Health and Wellbeing Board are scheduled to discuss the work of the Homelessness System Partnership, which aims to create an integrated approach to addressing homelessness in Camden. The report pack states that the partnership was formed in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, and recognises that a whole system
approach is required, as no single organisation can meet the needs of those experiencing homelessness.
The report pack includes an overview of the homeless population in Camden, and the issues they face. It also summarises what residents have said about the services they receive, and the approach the Partnership has taken, including co-production1. The report pack also includes an outline of the progress made against the Partnership priorities, other achievements, and next steps.
Camden Safeguarding Partnerships Annual Reports
The Health and Wellbeing Board are scheduled to receive the 2024/25 annual reports from Camden's two safeguarding partnerships: the Camden Safeguarding Children Partnership (CSCP) and the Safeguarding Adults Partnership Board (SAPB).
Safeguarding is a statutory duty under the Children Act 1989 and Care Act 2014, and is delivered in Camden through these multi-agency partnerships. The annual reports review governance, performance, serious case learning, and set improvement priorities.
The report to the board aims to:
- Share the 2024/25 annual reports of Camden's two safeguarding partnerships.
- Provide an overview of priorities for 2025/26 and help identify shared strategic priorities between the partnerships and the Health and Wellbeing Board.
- Enable the Board to consider learning opportunities across the partnerships.
Reducing Drug Related Harm
The Health and Wellbeing Board are scheduled to receive an update on the priority of reducing drug related harm in Camden. The report pack covers data and gaps in intelligence and knowledge, Camden's incident, prevention and strategic response, and challenges and opportunities.
The report pack asks the Board to further identify challenges and opportunities in meeting this priority and asks the Board to consider actions it can take as individuals, teams or organisations.
Health Protection Update
The Health and Wellbeing Board are scheduled to receive a Health Protection Update from Kirsten Watters, Director of Public Health, which provides an update on health protection issues and epidemiology2 in Camden.
Work Programme of the Health and Wellbeing Board
The Health and Wellbeing Board are scheduled to review their work programme. The report pack states that the programme is developed by board members and partners, with oversight from Councillor Anna Wright, Cabinet Member for Health, Wellbeing and Adult Social Care, and support from Camden strategy officers. The board is asked to note the draft programme and suggest items for inclusion at future meetings.
