Council Budget Overview
The meeting was scheduled to include an overview of the council's budget. This would have provided attendees with information on the financial plans and priorities of Hounslow Council.
Introduction to Riana Development Network (RDN)
A scheduled item on the agenda was an introduction to the Riana Development Network (RDN). This segment would have provided attendees with information about the organisation and its activities.
Open Forum
The Open Forum was allocated approximately 20 minutes, scheduled to take place close to 9:00 pm. This session was intended for members of the public to raise matters of local concern. The protocol for the Open Forum stated that written submissions were preferred by 7:45 pm, and speakers would be allowed at the Chair's discretion. The Area Forum was scheduled to consider submissions on up to three items per meeting, with each speaker limited to five minutes. Points raised were to be noted and used to inform the work of the Area Forum, with direct responses sought after the meeting for issues raised.
Issue Tracking
The meeting was scheduled to review the Issue Tracking document, which details ongoing concerns raised at previous Chiswick Area Forum meetings. This included updates on the enforcement of abandoned e-bikes, notifications from the 'Fix My Street' app, contactless card parking machines, the installation of a lift at Turnham Green station and requests for the Piccadilly line to stop there, recycling from flats above shops, the Gunnersbury Park Events, the Chiswick House & Gardens Conservatory, Hounslow Highways schedules, and the Chiswick Village Development. The report pack indicated that the issue of abandoned e-bikes was to be kept on the tracker for continued monitoring, despite Lime bikes no longer operating in the borough.
Informal Networking Event
Prior to the formal meeting, an informal networking event was scheduled from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. This event was planned to include marketplace-style stalls where residents could speak with Council officers about individual issues, meet their ward councillors, and learn about local community groups and initiatives.
