The Licensing Regulatory Board is made up of elected councillors. It is responsible for the licensing of premises and individuals for entertainment and the sale of alcohol. It is also responsible for the licensing of taxis (private hire and hackney carriages; drivers and vehicles), amusement venues and other similar types of premises and activities. In doing this, it has to take into account national and local policies, and the relevant legislation. You will find more information in the Constitution.
