Audit and Accounts Committee

The Audit and Accounts Committee is responsible for providing independent  assurance to the council regarding the adequacy of the risk management framework and the internal control environment.  It independently reviews Basingstoke and Deane’s governance, risk management and control frameworks, and oversees the financial reporting and annual governance processes. More generally, it oversees internal and external audit, helping to ensure efficient and effective assurance arrangements are in place.
