Employment Committee

The Employment Committee fulfils a number of roles pursuant to Section 112 of the Local Government Act 1972 relating to its role as an employer.  These include;  

To hear staff appeals and conduct investigatory hearings requiring Member level involvement (disciplinary, capability, grievance and redundancy matters);

 

To determine the Council’s powers and duties relating to pensions.
