Membership: 9 Quorum: 3 Substitutes: Any Member from the same political group Frequency: Recommended 4 times per year   Main Responsibilities

•               Oversight of housing, community, leisure, and health functions.

•               Responsible for Housing Strategies that fall under the remit of the Housing Revenue Account and Homelessness.   Key Responsibilities

•               Housing standards, homelessness, prevention, advice.

•               Housing needs assessment.

•               Affordable housing; recommendations for budget inclusion.

•               Housing strategy and investment programme; recommendations for budget inclusion.

•               Private sector housing, administration of housing grants.

•               Tenancy management and landlord functions.

•               Formulation and monitoring of the Housing Revenue Account Budget, including rent setting, with reference to Finance & Resources Committee for any impacts on the General Fund.

•               Responsible for Housing Strategies that fall under the remit of the Housing Revenue Account and Homelessness.

•               Community and localism initiatives, Assets of Community Value.

•               Voluntary sector, community groups and organisations.

•               Leisure, sports, recreational space, cultural initiatives and strategy.

•               Health and wellbeing.

•               Safeguarding.

•               Housing benefit—welfare aspects.

•               Community leadership and stakeholder consultation.

•               Community enforcement activities (excluding car parking and flytipping) such as fines, penalties and deterrence actions, including oversight of the Community Safety Partnership.

•               Oversee the provision, management, and monitoring of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) systems in support of community safety, crime prevention, and public reassurance.

•               Sports clubs and their development (except leases and facility maintenance).

•               Lead on Parish Council liaison, ensuring effective communication and partnership working between the Borough Council and local parish councils.
