This is a sub-committee of the Licensing Committee, established under the Licensing Act 2003. The Licensing Sub-Committee is made up of three councillors and meets regularly to consider individual applications and reviews relating to:

Club Premises Certificates
Personal Licences
Temporary Event Notices
The sub-committee acts in a quasi-judicial capacity, meaning it makes decisions based on evidence and in line with legal procedures. It hears representations from applicants, responsible authorities (such as the police or environmental health), and members of the public.
