Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE)

Camden SACRE consists of representatives of religious groups, the teaching profession and councillors. The body considers Religious Education (RE) and Collective Worship (CW) in the Borough and considers applications for Determinations for a school to be exempted from the requirement to hold daily collective worship of a broadly Christian character. Camden SACRE provides an opportunity for people from the educational and religion/worldview communities to work together in an imaginative and creative way to help develop RE and CW for pupils in Camden. It provides an interfaith forum focused on the educational needs of the area.   The Camden SACRE terms of reference and the Camden SACRE protocol include further information about the body.
