Purpose

NOTICE is hereby given in
accordance with:

Regulation 15 of the Access to
Information Procedure Rules and Regulation 10 of the Local Authorities
(Executive Arrangements) (Meetings and Access to Information)
(England) Regulations 2012
 
in respect of a matter
regarding a key decision to be taken by the Director of Place and
Economy between 3 & 6 June 2025 which had not been included in
the Forward Plan.
 
The item relates to a report
regarding C112 St Nicholas Rly No. L5 241 & No. N3 170 C1036
– Spalling Concrete Removal seeking approval to extend an
existing contract value over £500,000.
 
The decision had not been
included in the Forward Plan as the works were not initially
expected to be a key decision.  Due to
the urgent nature and associated safety risks it was crucial that
the project and the associated works concluded as soon as possible
subject to access from Network Rail, to remove the risk of damage
to live railway lines and maintain a resilient structure moving
forward
