The Director of Place & Economy authorises
the award of a call off contract for 5 years to Compass Minerals UK
Limited for the supply of rock salt (grit) for winter maintenance
services through the YPO 1088 framework for winter maintenance
services. The maximum value of the spend will be up to
£4million over the 5years

Reasons for the decision

To ensure the council has the ability to meet
its legal duty to maintain a road network that is clear of snow and
ice, in accordance with the approved Winter Service policy.
