Lead Member for Transport and Environment

Lead cabinet members are authorised by Cabinet to make certain decisions within their areas of special responsibility. They make these decisions at Individual Decision Making meetings attended by council officers. Other councillors may also attend.

Strategy and Policy for all Transport and Environmental matters, and principal service area responsibilities are:

·       Operational services

·       Planning and development control

·       Transport strategy

·       Archives and records

·       Customer Services

·       Emergency Planning

·       Gypsies and travellers

·       Libraries

·       Registration services

·       Road Safety

·       Environmental and waste strategy

·       And all ancillary activities.
