The Panel has responsibility for scrutinising any aspects of policy, provision and performance related to housing and the local environment and economy. The Panel works closely with Housing, Environmental services, the Police, Fire Services and other partners with the aim of helping to improve provision and act as a ‘critical friend’ in terms of service delivery.
The Housing and Environment Scrutiny Panel is the successor body of the Client and Partnerships Scrutiny Panel, as from 30th June 2010. All previous agendas and minutes for the Client and Partnerships Scrutiny Panel can be found as part of the records of the Housing and Environment Scrutiny Panel.
