About

The Planning Committee (previously known as the Sustainable Development Committee) considers policy on planning, development and environmental issues of a borough wide or regional significance. It determines planning applications for developments over 500 sq. metres of commercial floor space. Borough Council has delegated to officers the planning functions, which are described in the Scheme of Delegation. The Planning Committee has the legal power to reserve to itself the right to determine any planning application or related matter, which has been delegated and to “call-in” those matters for decision.   If you would like further information, please phone Bill Lee, the Committee Administrator, on 020 8583 2068 or email william.lee@hounslow.gov.uk.   Reports prior to 13th June 2012 can still be found under the Sustainable Development Committee.   The meetings will be accessible to the public to watch live (and thereafter in a recorded form) via the Council’s YouTube Channel which can be found using this link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC14Td2639xNqZCUcpvnVWwA   Please note that the published minutes are records of outline discussion and decisions only, they are not verbatim reports of meetings.
