About

Please note: The functions of the Standards Committee were transferred to the new Audit and Governance Committee in May 2018.    The Audit and Governance Committee will therefore be dealing with Complaints About Members Breaching the Code of Conduct from this date.   The Audit and Governance Committee is responsible for promoting and maintaining high standards of conduct among local councillors.   The responsibility for considering complaints that a member may have breached the Code of Conduct is considered by the Audit and Governance Committee. What This Means To You   If you want to complain about the conduct of a member of the London Borough of Hounslow, you must submit your complaint to:   The Monitoring Officer of the Council c/o The Head of Governance Civic Centre, Lampton Road Hounslow TW3 4DN   The Audit and Governance Committee can only deal with complaints about the behaviour of a member. It will not deal with complaints about things that are not covered by the Members’ Code of Conduct. If you make a complaint to the Committee it must be about why you think a member has not followed the Code of Conduct.  Please note that anonymous complaints would not normally be considered.   For complaints on other matters, please use the Council’s formal complaints process available elsewhere on the Council website.   If you have any general queries, please contact Thomas Ribbits, Head of Democratic Services, Hounslow Civic Centre, Lampton Road, Hounslow, TW3 4DN or by email: thomas.ribbits@hounslow.gov.uk
