Purpose

To seek Cabinet endorsement of
updates to the Statement of Community Involvement, which outlines
how the Council will engage local communities and other interested
parties in the production of the Local Plan, and to recommend that
it be formally adopted at Full Council.

Recommended to Full Council (Budget and policy
framework):
 
1)   
That Cabinet recommends to Full Council that the
Eastbourne Statement of Community Involvement as set out in
Appendix 1 to the report to be adopted at the Full Council meeting
on 25 February 2026.

2)   
That delegated authority is given to the Chief
Executive in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Regulatory
Services, Staff and Performance, Enterprise to make any minor
amendments to the Statement of Community Involvement prior to its
publication.
