Purpose

To seek Cabinet endorsement of
the Local Development Scheme, which sets out the timetable for the
preparation of local plan documents, and to recommend that the LDS
be formally adopted at Full Council.

That Cabinet recommends the Eastbourne Local
Development Scheme as set out in Appendix 1 to the report and
adopted at the Full Council meeting on 25 February 2026.

That delegated authority is given to the Chief
Executive in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Regulatory
Services, Staff and Performance, Enterprise to make any minor
amendments to the Local Development Scheme ahead of
publication.
