Appeals Committee

The Appeals Committee was established to provide an independent forum to hear appeals against decisions of the Council, particularly where there is no external appeal process.  Appeals Panels are convened to hear the appeals.  The main subjects covered are:  

·        Staffing issues covered by the disciplinary and grievance procedures;

·        Housing matters

·        Non-domestic rate relief – decisions about applications for discretionary relief.
