Joint Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee

The Joint Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee (JHOSC) scrutinises health issues across the Birmingham and Solihull area, in particular any proposed substantive variations or changes in the commissioning or provision of health services. JHOSC also has oversight of the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHBFT) which has a presence in both Birmingham and Solihull.   The Committee comprises of five Councillors from Solihull MBC and five Councillors from Birmingham City Council. Meetings take place at least twice each Municipal Year and rotate between being held in Solihull and Birmingham Council Offices.
