Standards Committee

The Standards Committee is responsible for promoting and enforcing high standards of conduct by Members and co-opted Members and assisting Members and co-opted Members to observe the Council’s code of conduct.   The membership of the committee comprises 6 Somerset Council members from each of the Council’s political groups (with voting rights) and 5 independent co-opted members (without voting rights).   For further details, please see the Constitution or email Democratic Services on democratic@somerset.gov.uk
