The Annual Meeting of the Council takes place no earlier than the second Wednesday and no later than the third Wednesday after the date of elections. In a year where there are no District Council elections, the Annual Meeting will be held on the Wednesday most nearly corresponding. Business conducted at the Annual Meeting includes: The Appointment of Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Council; approval of political balance; selection of Councillors for Committees and appointment to Outside Bodies.
