Licensing Sub-Committee (Street Trading and Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicles, Drivers and Operators)

The Sub-Committee will comprise 3 Members of the Licensing Committee.   The 3 Members of the Licensing Sub-Committee will be drawn by the Borough Solicitor from the 15 Members of the Licensing Committee.  The first item of business will be the election of a Chairman for the hearing.  Upon election the Chairman will remind Members of the Sub-Committee of their obligation to declare any personal and prejudicial interests.   The quorum of the Sub-Committee will be 3.   The Sub-Committee will exercise the licensing powers and duties of the Council in respect of:   i)                    Street Trading ii)                   Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicles, Drivers and Operators   This will include the determination of applications for Licences and Consents together with hearings for the suspension or revocation of Licences and Consents.
