The Cabinet is the executive part of the Council. It is made up of the Leader, who is elected by the Full Council, and a cabinet of other elected members. It discusses and makes decisions in line with the Council’s overall policies and budget. The leaders of the opposition party groups and the chair of the Scrutiny Committee are invited to Cabinet meetings as guests.
