General Licensing Committee

The General Licensing Committee will have the following roles and functions:-  

(a)        To provide advice to the Council via the Executive on the preparation of policies relating to all District Council licensing and registration functions.

(b)        To determine licensing and registration matters relating to the functions listed in the Responsibility for Functions as set out elsewhere in this Constitution which the Council has decided to delegate to the Committee.

(c)        To consider and determine any other functions related to a licensing function properly referred to the Committee by the Council.

(d)       To establish one or more Sub-Committees and arrange for them to discharge all or some of the Committee’s functions.
