About

The Licensing Acts Committee will have the following roles and functions:  

(a)       To recommend to the Council a Statement of Licensing Policy or any revisions to such Policy in accordance with the Licensing Act 2003 and the Gambling Act 2005.

 

(b)       To exercise all licensing functions under the Licensing Act 2003 and the Gambling Act 2005 including determining and dealing with applications for licences, certificates, temporary events and other notices and all variations, transfers, withdrawals and reviews of such matters.

 

(c)        To establish one or more Sub-Committees and arrange for them to discharge all or some of the Committee’s functions.

 

(d)       To make arrangements for any Officer of the Council to discharge those licensing functions, which may be delegated to an Officer.
