Purpose

To review the Grounds Maintenance contract.

Content

The Executive resolved that:
 

the insourcing of the grounds
maintenance provision for the borough’s green spaces, to
Waverley Borough Council. The associated cost of which, for the
first year, being £1,319,305, including increased national
insurance contributions, and additional expenditure to facilitate
alternative fuelling and power options for the vehicle and
machinery assets be approved

  

A supplementary estimate of
£31,246 to cover the additional cost in year 1, to be funded
from the MTFP risk reserve, be noted.

 
The Executive further resolved that Council be
recommended to approve:
 

That a supplementary estimate of
£1,000,000 to purchase vehicles and equipment required as
detailed in paragraph 12.2 of the agenda report, be funded from
capital receipts
