Purpose
Seeking approval for additional budget
required for water hygiene services procurement

The Executive RESOLVED to RECOMMEND to
Council the approval of:
(i)
a capital budget of £845k to procure legionella and water
hygiene
remedial works identified
through risk assessments. To be funded
from HRA working balance
reserve.
(ii)
a revenue budget of £162k to ensure all flat blocks are risk
assessed,
with 10% of both houses
and bungalows added to our portfolio each
year. To be funded from
HRA working balance reserve.
(iii)
to commence procurement to select appropriate contractor(s) for the
increased capital and revenue budgets, in addition to the water
hygiene services procurement as approved by Executive on 1 April
2025.
(iv)
the total contract value of £1.07m, anticipated term 60
months (36 + 12+12). Subject to final strategic sourcing option, it
is anticipated that:
a) the procurement will
seek to award contracts, based on 2 x
separate lots, to 2 x
contractors who will provide services for risk
assessments and remedial
works respectively, and
b) the procurement
will be subject to further competition via a frameworkagreement.
(v)
that any consequent contract award shall be subject to
Executive
approval as a Key
Decision.
