Appointing Committee

The Appointing Committee is responsible for the appointment of the Council’s Executive Directors. It is chaired by the Chairman of the Council and comprises six elected members appointed in accordance with political proportionality.   Although the agendas of the Appointing Committee are published to give notice of the meeting, the reports and minutes are not made available to the public due to the confidential nature of their business.   Please contact Democratic Services if any further information is required.
