West Sussex Economic Growth Board   The West Sussex Economic Growth Board (WSEGB) focuses on the county’s economic priorities and sustainable growth opportunities and oversees the West Sussex Economic Strategy.   Representatives from local business, local authorities, education and health work in partnership to provide a strategic voice on key issues and inform investment decisions.   The Board was established in response to

Government’s guidance (opens in new window) on the transition of Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) functions to local authorities.   Governance   West Sussex County Council is the designated accountable body for the WSEGB, responsible for the effectiveness of its governance and effective operation. The West Sussex Economic Growth Board is a designated West Sussex County Council outside body.   Board appointments are confirmed through a formal decision by the Leader of the county council.   Board members have been required to agree and sign up to the West Sussex Economic Growth Board Assurance Framework (opens in new window), which includes the terms of reference for the Board.   Board members are also required to complete a Register of interest document.
